Kelly at Kelly's Korner recently did a post on baby names and since this is one of my favorite topics, I thought I would embarass myself by telling you my favorite names.
Waaaaaay before I was even pregnant, I would make Josh talk about baby names with me. I thought it was the funnest thing ever! I'm pretty much notorious for changing my mind on names so dont count on me actually using any of these for our future babe(s?)
Ellie Kate
My mom's name is Ellen and mine is Katie, so I combined them to form "Ellie Kate". It is now the most common monogrammed name. Originality FAIL. Which really sucks because I luuuurve me some weird names.
Other girl names I like(d):
Phyer (fire) - to which Josh joked, "Up next on the pole is Phyer"....stripper name, vetoed
Leibelei (lee-bull-eye)- I know. You dont even have to say it. My family still mocks me and refers to this name as "evil eye" and "E. Coli"
Piper- still love this name. Plus its a type of airplane. Bonus points.
Marlowe- I dont know, I just like it. Just be glad its not leibelei okay?
Sylvie- this is my fav right now. But by the time we actually have another baby who knows...
Boy Names:
Jett- how cool would it be to have "Jett Jones" as your name? I mean- you would basically have to become a super hero....
Elias- would be called "Eli". Cant happen now that we have Ellie. That would be waay to confusing.
Thatcher- so cute :) I think I would call him "thatch", or "thatchmaster"
Foster- this is Josh's dad's middle name. We will probably end up using it as a middle name if we have a boy.

i simply had to comment. i am a lover of different baby names. and when i say different i don't mean people who spell normal names with Y's and 14 other extra letters. i mean truly different names.

I have a gazillion names I love too. I love the name game hehe.
My daughters name is original. Brenika. It's a mix of my 2 sisters.. Brette, and Monica. We're all about unique names in my family too... fun fun!
I am so not into creative baby names, but I must admit that I like Elias and Jett. When I had my second baby last June, there were 8 other boys born while I was at the hospital, and 6 of them were named Jett. I think that something was in the water at Cedars-Sinai. ;)
Oh I love those! The hubs bff's last name is Steele, and he wants to name his son Rusty....Rusty Steele, hahaa....
You'll have to check out my blog about baby names, hubs wants William Robert so we can call him Billy Bob, I've vetoed that one like the pilot vetoed the stripper name, ha!

Darcy Elizabeth (vetoed because it's the name of the two main characters in Pride and Prejudice)
Scarlet Grace (after Scarlet O'Hara... Grace we just love anyways) -- but I go back and forth between thinking this is a stripper name.

We haven't made it too far on middle names.
But, we're settled on a boy's name.
Liam Peter (Brandon's grandpa's name was Peter, but we may go with Russian spelling since his family is Ukrainian-- Pyotr)

i like piper, jett and eli! name a girl after me, vonda. hehe its original.
Piper is the best girl name EVER, obviously ; )
Oh and thanks because I think i kinda love Thatcher and may have to try to steal that from you... It was definitely the "Thatchmaster" that did it for me.
Oh, I bring up the baby name discussion ALL the time. Not pregnant. Poor guy. But all my friends agree that he MUST be discouraged at all costs. The ONE girl's name he loves:
Mary Jane.
Eh...not TOO horrible, but wait for it... Our last name:
Poterjoy. Pot - er - joy.
I say that Mary Jane Poterjoy is the equivalent of naming our child "Pothead Pothead". Hence, HE MUST BE STOPPED.
