Twitter Blog Hop: Wedding Style

Welcome twitter (and non-twitter) friends! Thanks for stopping by to be a fly on the wall at my wedding.

Lets get this party started...
I walked around barefoot on my wedding day. True southern girl fashion. Yes, my foot really is that big. Size 10.....believe it.

Josh and I were married in a 100 year old church in Tennessee. It has 2 doors because back in the good old days women had to go in one and men had to go in the other.

Le bouquet.

Altar flowers.

My maids.

My Daddy.

When Josh went to put my ring on, I gave him the wrong hand! We all had a good laugh about it when I yanked my hand away and gave him the correct one. We had a beautiful ceremony officiated by our music pastor and family friend.

Josh's parents surprised us with this getaway car to ride in!

The reception flowers. Orchids floating in water. Luuurve.

Our pretty napkins that I still have a ton of in my kitchen junk drawer right now.

Josh's grooms cake was made to look like a cigar humidor.
People thought it was real!
It was Kahlua Chocolate Fudge and it was dee-lish.
At the reception I put some feathers in my hair to signify that I was ready to PAR TAY!

I'm ashamed to say that I designed our wedding cake. And it was the ugliest thing ever. It tasted even uglier.

Josh and I boogied down all night and had so much fun.

There was a rope swing tied to a tree just outside our reception hall and.... well......

The next morning we woke up at 3am and headed to our honeymoon in St. Lucia!

Now go forth and stalk! Click the links below : )

Oooh, tons of comments!

1) That getaway car is awesome!
2) The groom's cake was amazing - we don't have that tradition in the Northeast...
3) Mommy wants to go back in time and find a rope swing to play on at her wedding so she can have a fun pic just like yours...
4) Grammy and Coach honeymooned in St. Lucia - and Mommy and Daddy almost did, but the flights got all changed around and complicated so they went to Riviera Maya in Mexico instead...

I went barefoot at my wedding too! Us southern girls know its just a whole lot easier to boogie down without heels on :D

Ok...I know we sat in your living room and I Ooohhed and Ahhhed over these pics, but seriously...you're so beautiful! My wedding pics are TERRIBLE. I pretty much cry any time I look at them (which is almost never). Is it silly that I want to put my dress on again and get our pics taken so I have some good ones? :)

You are seriously SO PRETTY! I gave my husband the wrong hand at our wedding too! HAHAHA AND... I didn't even realize it but the pastor who married us did. haha AND our pastor kept calling me the wrong name... instead of saying Katie Jo he kept saying Betty Jo. He did it like 3 times. It was too funny. I'm not on your blog train, but you can see my wedding pics here if you want! :)

That is NOT the ugliest cake I've ever seen. Mine tasted great, but wasn't beautiful. Same with DHs. That's why neither cake pic made it to the Blog Hop.

Also, your dress is gorgeous and the picture of you in the rope swing? LOVE IT. Love it. Like,LOVE IT.
