Ellie Kate’s Toddler Room Reveal

Well, we finally finished Ellie Kate’s room redo.

I say *finished* but you all know I’m never finished. :) Here’s the view from her doorway.

We finished painting the faux board and batten (I say faux, because we never actually put up the vertical mdf strips, we just got tired and figured it looked “good enough”). I picked up the chandy for $5 at a local garage sale and spray painted it white. I still would love to cover the shades with the brown polka-dotted material, but eh…… maybe someday.

Here’s a view of the other side of her room. I had the artwork above her changing table just chilling on the floor of the guest room (never give away art! you never know when you will find a place for it!). I realize its not traditional “nursery” décor, but that’s why I like it. The curtains are some Target panels that I had in my stash. They are red and brown paisley and don’t match the room AT ALL, but we needed to block the morning sunshine in the hopes that our little sunshine will sleep past 5:45am. Maybe someday when we win the lottery I will make some matching drapes out of her crib bedding fabric, but for now these will work.

And now for my favorite part of the room! I painted Ellie Kate’s monogram on three separate canvases to match her bedding. It’s hard to tell, but I used the light green as an accent color around each letter.

Ooh! Here’s a better picture.

So that’s my girl’s room and I hope you loved it as much as I do!

I LOOOVE all of your redo's around your home. I'm itching to do that to our home, but my perfectionism gets in my way. I'm hoping I can overcome that soon. I'm going to go crazy with a lot of the outdated stuff we have.
