Master Bedroom Reveal

Since so many of you asked about the little green chairs in my last post, I wanted to fill you in! They are actually a pair of Fisher Price chairs that I bought at a local consignment shop. They came in a set like this:

Moving on…

Josh and I finally got around to painting our bedroom last week and I have been dying to share it! Ignore the words on the pictures, I had to steal them from a previous post.

The paint color is from Lowe’s and its actually a grey. I don’t know the name off the top of my head but if you are interested let me know. Everything in this room was either made by me, or brought in from another spot in our house.

The curtains were hanging in our playroom and are actually two of these shower curtains from Target that I cut in half to create four panels. *It saves mega money!*

I made the sunburst mirror using this tutorial and it only cost me about $12. It’s my favorite piece in the room!

Here’s a better view of the chair corner:

After:

Excuse the blown-out white light, its HARD to take a picture of a window.

Here is Josh’s corner of the room. I used Melissa’s leaning and layering technique here and brought in my diy coffee filter wreath from the kitchen.

And lastly, here is the view of our marriage bed.

Ha!

Doesn’t it make you feel uncomfortable when I call it our “marriage bed”? : )

Hope you enjoyed the tour and stay tuned tomorrow for the tour of Ellie’s new toddler room!

Very nice. I love the color!

I think I'd be more uncomfortable if you called it your baby making bed! LOL!

I really like how your room turned out. It is so fresh and nice. I need you to come on down to South Florida and fix up our bedroom. It is so blah! A bunch of nice IKEA furniture and that is about it. It needs a little pizazz. Good job!

Your bedroom is beautiful. The color on the walls makes a HUGE difference. It's just so fresh and bright. I love it. Thank you for posting all of the links to your DIY projects. When Kevin gets home from Iraq and we move back to KS, I'll be decorating our new place on a budget. I love all the tips and tricks :) Thanks!

I LOVE the shower curtain idea!! I have been on the hunt for the perfect curtains forever and always find such boring patterns.... I should have much better luck with shower curtains!

Your bedroom is gorgeous. I really love the sunburst mirror, and after looking at the tutorial it almost sounds like something I could pull off. Maybe a project to try in the future.
