21 Weeks Pregnant with #2

First of all, we had our anatomy scan last week and confirmed that we are indeed, having a boy. He is completely healthy, thank The Lord!

I have my second glucose test in 3 weeks and hopefully I don’t have The Diabeetus this time around. All I know is I’m eating every carb and sugar that I can pack in before then : )

This pregnancy is SO different that my first, with Ellie Kate. Here are the main differences:

-With Ellie I could not get enough sweets. With this little guy I don’t want sweets at all! (So unlike me). But all I want is savory, comfort foods like casseroles, salty pickles, and cheese.

-With Ellie I had gained almost 20 lbs by now. With Foster, I have only gained 3 pounds. And its not for lack of trying! I’m eating everything I want!

-With Ellie I stayed pretty comfortable until my third trimester. With this baby my uncomfortableness started right at 20 weeks. I’m out of breath from doing the smallest activities (like standing up).

-With Ellie I had severe lower back pain in my S.I. Joints from the very beginning, not this time!

Here’s a picture of me at 21 weeks with E.K.  If you compare it to my pic above, I’m a lot smaller this time around. Weird!

And here’s a progression from my last belly photo. Not much has changed!

And lastly, here I am with baby Foster’s Christmas stocking…already hanging on our mantel!
