Bonus Room Makeover

You may remember that our bonus room used to be beige, boring, and blah… We had an eclectic blend of hand-me-down furniture and nothing matched. We finally took the time and money to spruce up our “playroom” since it is where we spend the majority of our time together. Here is what it looked like before:

And here it is now:

We purchased this couch at Macy’s and bought it especially for the chaise lounge at the end. We are planning on lots of long nights sleeping upright with a certain little bundle in our arms.

Here’s another view. We painted the room the same grey-blue as our bedroom, and I just love the orange accents.

Looking to the left, you can see our Christmas tree and Ellie Kate’s play corner. This is where we keep all of her toys.

Here’s a close-up of the play corner. This is probably the most organized spot in our house. I cant stand toy clutter so we only keep out a couple of things at a time.

Back across the room (behind the couch) is MY play corner :)  This is where I blog, craft, and now embroider!

Here’s the view from my computer desk. Notice the baby swing in the corner : )
