Card Schmard

We didn’t send out Christmas cards this year, partly because I lost my list of addresses and mostly because The Foster Fetus is taking all of my spare energy : )  But, I wanted to show you guys what our card would have looked like, had we sent one out.

On another note, Ellie Kate is simultaneously amazing me and driving me crazy every single day now! Our little girl is talking in complete sentences: “We gonna go see the Chrifmas lights mommy?” and I honestly feel like I’m hanging out with (a really needy and immature) best friend every day.

We have enjoyed the past few days just hanging out in our pjs, watching Christmas movies, and playing with toys. This is a BIG deal for me because I used to be so discontent just staying home all day. I felt bored, trapped, and stir crazy if we didn’t have somewhere to go every day. But now? I’m loving our time at home with nothing to do. I’m not sure when or how I managed to change, my only guess is that The Lord is preparing me to stay home A LOT when Foster gets here.

I guess it helps that Ellie has hit an easier stage (for now) and is playing more independently these days. Am I the only one that has noticed that their easy-ness ebbs and flows? For a while they will be super difficult, then they will surprise you and be super sweet. Hmmmm…

She’s currently watching a disney Christmas something-or-other on TV and during the commercials, says “I want dat fun toy Mommy!”  So….I guess that has started : )

And this is the face I get all day every day. My sweet, challenging, needy, independent, happy  29 month old.
