Foster’s Nursery

IMG_6710

Foster’s room is about 99% complete, so I thought I would go ahead and show you where the little man will sleep (hopefully…God willing).

Here’s the view from the door:

room2

Another view from the door. We will eventually have a glider in place of the baby swing, but I’m waiting on just the right craigslist find for that one. We also are replacing the chandelier with a brown ceiling fan. We are going with a vintage transportation theme, and the metal signs came from Hobby Lobby.

room1

Here’s a close-up of the crib. The bedding is from Target. There is a navy crib skirt with striped trim, the sheet is striped, and we are using a breathable bumper. The quilt you see is turned to the back side because I’m not sure if I love the front.

room3

Here’s a picture of the front side of the quilt. Its really cute, I’m just not that into cartoon-ey stuff. It has little cars, trains, and airplanes on it. The rug is also from Target.

room5

Here’s a view of the other side of the room. The shelf is from Home Depot and I love the storage it gives us. The baskets are from Target and hold diapers, lotions, newborn onesies, hats and socks. I plan on making some cute labels for them.

room4

Now onto the fun details! The curtains are solid grey-blue panels from Target and I added the green fabric, then hot glued on some navy and orange ribbon.

room6

I just love this cute vintage gas pump. (Hobby Lobby)

room9

The mirrors and lamp on the changing table are from (you guessed it!) Target.

room8

We have a little corner shelf above the crib that holds a vintage airplane and picture frame (both from Hobby Lobby).

room7

We also have this cute little sign (Hobby Lobby) to hang on the small wall between the closet and door to the room.

room10

And last but not least, here’s a shot of his hap-hazardly organized closet. There’s still quite a bit of work to do in here but let’s face it…between the waddling and the shortness of breath to get upstairs, it probably wont get done. But I don’t think he will mind!

I love that first picture you took of the shoes on the changing table. So very cute! I love the vintage transportation theme and think the room looks great! My poor son is 5 months old and I still haven't finished decorating his nursery. We only got about half of the prints framed before he came early and just haven't gotten back around to finishing. So kudos to you for having it all put together!

So cute! I'm going to have to check out Hobby Lobby for some of those fun things. My little boy would love the airplane.

Hey Katie, are you planning on going back on Weight Watchers after Foster is born? I'm considering it, along with Nutrisystem, for after #3 is born in May. The advantage that I see to WW is that you can do it while breastfeeding, whereas Nutrisystem could interfere with milk production. Since I normally struggle with a supply anyway, I'm not sure if I want to take that chance with Nutrisystem. I'm also the kind of person who doesn't lost any weight at all when breastfeeding, which is frustrating. I was hoping you would have some insight! I've never done WW before (or any structured weight loss program). Thanks!

I love the curtains....did you sew the fabric, or just use like a heat and bond? Such a great idea!!! I need to copy this!
